Ivo H. Daalder is a senior fellow and holds the Sydney Stein Jr. Chair in International
Security at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC. From 1995 to 1996 he
was director for European affairs on President Clinton’s national security
council staff. Daalder has just completed writing the jointly authored book,
America Unbound: The Bush Revolution in Foreign Policy, and is now working on
another joint project, Power and Cooperation: An American Foreign Policy for
the Age of Global Politics. Other books that he has authored and co-authored
include: Protecting the American Homeland (Brookings 2002); Getting to Dayton:
The Making of America’s Bosnia Policy (Brookings 2000), and Winning Ugly:
NATO’s War to Save Kosovo (Brookings 2000).
