Colonel Randall Larsen

Colonel Randall Larsen, USAF (Ret) is the Founder and CEO of Homeland Security Associates, LLC, a private corporation that provides homeland security consulting services to corporate executives. Previously, he served as the founding Director of the Institute for Homeland Security, and the Chairman of the Department of Military Strategy and Operations at the National War College.

Colonel Larsen is one of America’s leading homeland security experts. In April 2003, he was one of the first witnesses asked to testify before the 9-11 Commission. He is a frequent expert witness for the US Congress and has recently appeared before the: Senate Armed Services, Senate Judiciary, House Government Reform Committees, and the House Select Committee on Homeland Security. He has also provides private briefings and tutorials on a wide range of Homeland Security topics to numerous members of Congress and members of the Bush Administration including Vice President Cheney and Secretary Ridge. He is a member of the Defense Science Board, the Council on Foreign Relations, a special consultant to CBS News, and is frequently quoted in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Washington Post.

He is a widely published author who most recently co-authored The Executive’s Desk Book on Corporate Risks and Response for Homeland Security (March 2003), What Corporate America Needs to Know About Bioterrorism (July 2003), and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction: A Decade of Effort (scheduled for release December, 2003).
